This New Moon is occurring in Sagittarius which is the zodiac sign associated with the center of our galaxy — the position of the black hole. This location is referred to by the Mayans as the “road to awe.” They revered it as the “cosmic womb of the great mother” and it is the celestial point in space where our solar system is currently making its 26,000-year cyclic passage. As you likely know, the Mayans have an extraordinary astronomical calendar that predicts the occurrence of this sacred passageway of our solar system from 1980 through 2016.
