Only when we see something different,
we can consider ourselves to have seen something!

You may have already seen this picture of the baby Zebra born during 2019 in Kenya, the very first with polka dots. And you may be asking what this has to do with the Aquarius New Moon? Well — this baby stands out as extraordinarily different and is one-of-a-kind — both of which are sought-after Aquarian traits.
Aquarius is the zodiac sign associated with revolutionary change and sometimes we need to be radically different to create transformation. Seeking to restructure outdated constructs, Aquarius strives to make the world a better place. It is a humanitarian sign that wants to improve conditions for all earthly inhabitants. By investing time and energy in mobilizing large groups, affecting politics, and through futuristic innovations, Aquarius revitalizes worn-out structures.
As you may recall, a New Moon is a time for renewed hope, creativity, and new projects. It is the best time of the month to assert positive affirmations, chants, and visualizations. In the sign of Aquarius, it supports courage, fortitude, and strength on our quest for liberation: spiritual, emotional, or mental.
This second New Moon of 2022 is also coinciding with the Chinese “Lunar” New Year — the Year of the Tiger.1 Known for their courage, Tiger animal signs are active people who love a good challenge and adventure.2 Over two-million people across the globe celebrate this time-honored lunar event with family and friends where they respectfully wish one another a prosperous and peaceful year with hopes fulfilled. Manifestations of hopes, wishes, and dreams are also Aquarian themes, therefore, with your dreams and desires well-defined you’ll want to be sure and join the collective and energetically potent festivities.
Chinese New Year, tigers, and zebras aside, Aquarius is the celestial sign that bestows the universal cosmic waters onto humankind and our planet. Although Aquarius is a mental air sign, it is known as The Water Bearer. This connection through the healing element of water symbolizes the celestial guardian that spreads its cosmic gifts of giving and restoring life to humanity.
This New Moon is conjunct Saturn, who is also in the sign of Aquarius. For the next several years, Aquarius’s ruling planet Uranus is transiting through Taurus — the sign associated with resources and security. These two planets (Saturn and Uranus) are currently creating a disruptive aspect that highlights radical change in our personal lives, our collective political arenas, and our earthly resources. These much-needed changes can bring about deep insecurities. However, if we embrace our impulses to grow, we will creatively manifest powerful shifts and a newfound vitality.
From early Monday through Tuesday the New Moon will provide a wonderful opportunity to take inventory of what you can do right now to create unprecedented change and transformation in your life:
– What are your hopes, wishes, and dreams?
– What is it that you need to discard so you can embrace these desires and
manifest a new reality?
– How may you serve others by being different and using your unique
talents to make the world a better place?
Normal is not something to aspire to, it’s something to get away from.
~ Jodie Foster
- You are a Tiger if you were born in 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022, etc.
- Determining the date requires complicated astrological calculations but it generally falls on the second New Moon after the Winter Solstice.
