16 degrees and 1 minute of Scorpio
May will certainly prove to be one of the most potent months in 2012. May Day was celebrated as “Global Love Day” and this current Super Scorpio Full Moon will be celebrated by millions around the world as “World Liberation Day,” and both are followed by Venus turning retrograde on the 15th and the first Solar Eclipse of 2012 on the 19th—WOW! The last two cosmic events of this month are sure to unveil dramatic financial and social political actions which I’ll write more about in my next Astro-Gram.
The Moon moves into Scorpio at 7:20 p.m. PT on Friday evening, whereby many of us will begin to experience Scorpio’s intensity–externally and internally. This lunation cycle has the potential to unexpectedly illuminate hidden agendas and encourage long overdue transformation. If this is the case for you, draw upon the powerful energy of Scorpio to transmute and transform.
Scorpio is feminine in nature and symbolizes the element of water. Its spiritual essence is symbolized by the divine shakti—energy and power—which is recognized as the many faces of the divine feminine. In the Hindu tradition the divine shakti is known as the divine mother, the universal creator, destroyer of evil and sustainer of all life. Her many faces are acknowledged as Kali, Durga, and the only female companion of Lord Shiva—Parvati. The divine union of Shiva and Parvati is symbolic of the powerful merger of equality between the sacred feminine and masculine.
Scorpio encourages us to embrace the mysteries of death and rebirth. Cycles of darkness eventually awaken us to the wisdom of enlightenment that result from going deep within. If you find yourself stuck in a defeating karmic cycle or have allowed yourself to become disempowered in any area of your life then embrace this potent “Super” Scorpio Full Moon as a powerful time to shift and heal any self-defeating behavior patterns so you can transform and give birth to new, self-empowered and liberated aspects of YOU!

1 degree and 35 minutes of Taurus
The Moon will be in the sign of Taurus all day on Saturday and Sunday. When the Moon travels through Taurus we are each given an opportunity to honor all things earthly. In the sign of the bull, the Moon is ruled by Venus and becomes dignified as it grants Venusian prospects of good fortune. Under Taurus’ lunar influence we may want to take time off, relax, and experience the finer things in life. You may find yourself seeking emotional security, comfort and the sensual pleasures of gourmet food, fine wine and chocolate.
Because Taurus is associated with security and what we value, it is connected Astrologically to our personal financial security. In our Western world we often find ourselves associating our personal value and self-worth with our growing or diminishing financial status. Therefore, you may ponder your personal values and self-worth during this potent lunar phase.
Taurus New Moon phases are auspicious times to contemplate and initiate new intentions for the following:
- Developing an appreciation and enjoyment of beauty and the finer things in life without the desired need to possess or own.
- Honoring and nurturing your precious time based on your individual gifts and values.
- Cultivating self-worth that radiates inner security regardless of your financial status.

17 degrees and 23 minutes of Libra
This month’s Full Moon occurs in the cardinal sign that represents harmonizing partnerships and the equalizing “scales of balance”—Libra. In Astrology, the Moon is considered to be a luminary lighting the path that allows us to see into the unconscious realms, both personally and collectively. As you may be aware, a Full Moon always occurs when it opposes the path of the Sun on the zodiac ecliptic and with this month’s Full Moon conjoining the planet of responsibility–Saturn, we can expect continued government and social unrest as citizens advocate fairness and liberation from the current rogue political system. Most importantly, these planetary signatures are an opportune time to focus on finding the commonality that brings about union—Libra—versus the discord that creates separateness—Aries.
Because Libra is the zodiac sign striving for equality within all partnerships, the current Astrological significations are encouraging us to “wake-up” and regain a state of peace and harmony in our personal and collective lives. Therefore, you can use the light of this powerful Full Moon to focus upon and determine where you can be more balanced. If, for example, you feel you are out of balance with either your intimate or professional partnerships and possibly giving more than you are receiving, then you will want to spend time contemplating how you can resolve the imbalance and then take action.
Once you can personally maintain equilibrium in your life, you will find the relationship imbalance resolved. The Libra archetype will often find that it gives far more than it receives so it may be helpful to observe areas of your life where this dynamic is exemplified. When Libra is involved, sometimes the greatest gift we can give another person is to know when not to give, thereby allowing that individual to independently determine their own needs—Aries.
Lastly, Libra is associated with the kidneys, and blood sugar balance. Therefore, pay special attention to these health areas during this Full Moon. Most importantly, continue to do your individual healing so you can help restore balance to our beautiful planet by embodying Libra’s peace and harmony.
Please join me for upcoming Full Moon Celebration!

March 13-April 3
(6 degrees Aries—23 degrees Pisces)
On March 13 at 12:49 a.m PT, Mercury – the cosmic trickster enters the first of three retrograde cycles in 2012. Mercury begins this first retrograde cycle with a powerful intensity in the sign of Aries conjunct the revolutionary planet of change–Uranus. Aries is the sign related to “self” as well as the freedom to explore the inner and outer callings that lead us to initiate new evolutionary cycles. With this combination we will each find ourselves exploring new and revolutionary ways to initiate change in our personal and collective lives.
Uranus began its final journey into the sign of Aries on March 11, 2011, on the very day the earthquake and tsunami struck Japan. This catastrophic event awakened the entire globe to the horrors of radiation poisoning. With Mercury so closely aligned to Uranus during this retrograde period we are sure to see more reports of the continued ill effects of nuclear fallout on Japan and the rest of the world.
The cosmic messenger begins its retrograde period in Aries and Aries is ruled by Mars. Mars is Retrograding in the sign of Virgo and the ruling planet of Virgo is Mercury. When two planets are in each others’ rulership it is called a mutual reception. This exchange of energy between the two planets will be in effect until March 24,—when Mercury moves into Pisces—and once again from April 17-May 9, when Mercury moves back into Aries.
As you may recall,– Aries is a Cardinal Fire sign that is emphasizing the Cardinal Cross energy present at this time. Cardinal signs want change–and Aries specifically—wants to forge entirely new frontiers. Fire is inspiring, passionate and future oriented. Therefore, this Mar’s-Mercury retrograde cycle should light an inspirational fire under each of us to create new paths that can shift us into our desired future. Mercury deals with matters of the mind, and Mars wants unfettered action. Therefore, while these two planets are retrograde, contemplation is suggested as we examine egoistic actions and strive for greater humility. This will be an important time of considered response versus impulsive reaction.
Mercury Retrograde periods can cause technical problems, delays, frustrations, and mix-ups and is typically not a good time to sign contractual agreements. In the sign of Aries, tempers can be short and our anger fuse ignited far quicker than usual. The best mitigation for the Mercury and Mars Retrograde period is physical exercise. Don’t sit around and let frustration become pent up! Aries and Mars like action and nature; get up, get out, and move!

Healing Intentions for our Planet and Ourselves
Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 1:38 a.m. PDT
18 degrees and 13 minutes of Virgo
This month’s Full Moon will be especially potent as it conjoins retrograding Mars, while making a beautiful Grand Trine aspect with transformative Pluto in Capricorn and the benefic planets Venus and Jupiter in Taurus. As you may recall, Full Moons illuminate the areas of life that need adjusting in order to continue on your life journey. This auspicious Full Moon will support you by shedding light on the areas of your life that need conscious attention and action.
Virgo’s infamous holy trinity–the integration of body, mind, and spirit, is emphasized under this lunation. Virgo is one of the Earth signs that holds a special affinity for all things related to our planet and her depiction honors the sacredness of Earth’s bounty as she lifts the wheat staff in her hand. For those of you who have been advocating against the GMO-Monsanto debacle, keep a watchful eye, as this Full Moon emphasizes purity—particularly the foods we eat.
When Virgo, and or Pisces is emphasized in our horoscopes, or in the heavens as they are under this Full Moon, we will want to pay special attention to our bodies, thoughts and spirits. When any one of these areas is ignored, Virgo may initiate a crisis in order to get our attention. As you embrace your personal integration of body, mind, and spirit, you are contributing to the magnificent blossoming of the human species as it collectively awakens to its intricate connection to all life forms and the universal mind and spirit.
You may recall that earlier this month I wrote in the Pisces New Moon Astro-Gram that Pisces and Virgo are the two zodiac signs associated with healing. This Full Moon is occurring in opposition to the Sun in Pisces and the Sun will remain in Pisces through the 19th of March. Some of the health areas commonly associated with Virgo and Pisces are related to the intestines, nervous system, and the hands and feet. This Virgo-Pisces Full Moon is an auspicious time to focus your energy, prayers, and healing intentions towards your own personal life, and our entire planet.

13 degrees and 55 minutes of Pisces
The New Moon is a time of new beginnings and rebirth. It is an opportune time to set intentions for new life directions or the beginning of new projects. This is the best time of the month to plant positive thoughts in the subconscious mind with affirmations, auspicious chants, and visualizations. Inspiration, hope, and support flourish during these next couple of days for those seeking spiritual, emotional, or mental liberation of any kind.
This New Moon is sure to inspire change on a deep soul level because it occurs in the intuitive sign of Pisces and falls in the eighth house of transformation in the lunation horoscope. Accompanied by four other heavenly bodies all traversing the sign of Pisces – Neptune, the Sun, Chiron, and Mercury – it creates a potent pack because this emphasis of Pisces energy is in a challenging aspect to retrograding Mars in Virgo. Therefore, expect revelations as hidden areas of your psyche become active during these next few days and weeks.
Pisces is the watery constellation that seeks to dissolve all separating desires in order to unite with divine. It is through the artistic and soulful expression of Piscean energies that we can each experience the true essence of the all-pervading consciousness that exists within everything. Importantly, Pisces is also the last sign of the zodiac and therefore represents culminations.
Under this important New Moon, it is beneficial to take the time out of your busy schedule to ask yourself a few essential questions: 1) What is separating me from the truest expression of my divine self? 2) What might I need to culminate in my life so I can align to my higher nature?
Once you’ve answered these questions, take time to create intentions that will lead you into a closer relationship with your highest goals. Lastly, Pisces is one of two healing signs of the zodiac (Virgo is the other.) Healing is an important consideration when planets are highlighting one or both of these signs. This New Moon in Pisces can help illuminate any healing work that might need to occur in order for you to connect to your heart’s truest desires. Pisces also represents the dreamtime. Therefore, pay close attention to your dreams and any messages they provide over the upcoming days.
